Intrinsically Ectothermic LLC is a father-son partnership that offers thriving and beautiful reptiles that have been produced in our own terraria.

We specialize in our favorite type of reptile, the lizard. Every year for decades now, we share our love for lizards through educational presentations throughout our home state of Virginia.

We have deep knowledge and understanding from over 30 years of observing and breeding lizards in our terraria. In that time, we have reproduced over 60 species and counting.

Our curious and methodical mindset leads us to continually update our understanding by comparing it with current trends and studies. For decades we have repeatedly trialed numerous components of our husbandry to learn more about the lizards and what makes them thrive. For some species, we have been able to observe the results of such trials for over long periods of time, such as our bearded dragons which we have been breeding across many generations for over 25 years now. 

This attitude of trying many things and questioning everything has given us experience and success with lizards from a great variety of ecosystems using a variety of terrarium designs both indoors and outdoors.
